Instead, it approved a milder administration backed substitute allowing federal suits against employers for race sex religion or national origin discrimination.

Boundaries for Ohio 33 Senate and 99 House districts must be redrawn to satisfy federal one man one vote rules. Republicans accuse Democrats of using reapportionment as a weapon to push an income tax plan through a GOP dominated legislature.
