Nelsonville boosters hear city stance on watering grid field
At a Nelsonville Athletic Association meeting Mayor William Hoffman explained the city will not use fire equipment to water the football field. The hard worn turf due to no rain led to plans to seek other field care methods while the city will support efforts. A portable concession stand will be placed at the south end for Friday’s game, built by Byron Andrews’ shop class. Coach Robert Sheskey showed game films and the next session set for Sept 22 to view Chauncey-Dover and Nelsonville.
