Shipping Costs Threaten Midget Motors Life
Athens defense contractor Midget Motors faces a six month delay before relief as a shipping classification shift drives freight up by as much as fourteen hundred percent. The 800 pound King Midget carrier now pays for 6,000 pounds, forcing losses and layoffs. ICC and the National Classification Board expect six months to resolve the issue.
