Magistrate Faces Five Cases In Local Court
Magistrate C. H. Porter heard three failures to provide cases and two liquor violations. Robert Swyers of Athens and Sam Ruf formerly of Columbus were arraigned for liquor possession with whisky found in a Mechanicsburg area house. Swyers pled guilty and paid $100 fines plus costs. Ruf pleaded not guilty with hearing set for Wednesday. Three Mulfield men were fined $10 each for intoxication. Roy Graham of Waterloo Township faced failure to provide for five minor children and posted $400 bond. Walter Kovaleski of Floodwood pled guilty to failing to support two children and received a suspended 100 dollar fine and 90 days in jail unless he pays $22.50 monthly. Harvey Finster maker of Columbus also pled guilty with $100 fine and 90 days suspended for $15 monthly support.
