Four die in a three car collision near Huntington. Victims from Point Pleasant include Nina Elea nor Eads 25 and her two children Sandra Gail eight months and Edward five. The husband Jack Eads 25 is critically injured. Virgil Smith 46 and William Edwards injured. Ohio University freshman James A. Bullock 22 of Cleveland died in a two vehicle crash on Routes 161 and 37 west of Newark. Passenger Jean Molina 20 of Westlake suffered a fractured skull. An electrical storm knocked out power to 2370 customers in the area. First outage began at 6 10 p m when lightning hit Beale substation Gallipolis Ferry and at 7 50 p m a Salt Creek regulator failed. 859 customers from Route 35 to Buffalo and Route 2 were without power from 7 55 to 8 02 p m, 503 south of the Kanawha River were out from 6 10 to 8 02 p m. The Salt Creek regulator caught fire and the fire department responded.
