Airplane Wreck Off Greenland Coast Finds Family Alive
Col. George R B Hutchinson and his wife and two daughters aboard the amphibian City of Richmond were rescued near Ikersuak Fjord after their plane went down south of Angmagasalik. A relief flotilla including the Lord Talbot and other craft searched sea lanes while airplanes scoured Denmark Strait for the eight aboard.
