Gilligan Calls Election Reform Special Session in Ohio

Gov. John J. Gilligan will convene a special session of the 110th General Assembly the week of Oct 22 to tackle campaign financing and three pending election reform bills. The proclamation is expected in a day or two as lawmakers, in recess, have not sine die adjourned. House Speaker Lancione supports the governor’s authority. Nixon Seeks Congressional Help Drafting Budget

Budget Director Roy L. Ash proposes a series of meetings with Senate leaders to gain the congressional sense of priorities for next year’s budget.
