Kiwanis Club Backs Logan School Building Plan
Logan Kiwanis Club unanimously endorsed a proposed 900000 bond issue to expand and improve city schools after superintendent Wallace Blake outlined state surveys showing facilities lagging. Plans call for razing Central school, building a junior high wing, converting the junior high to elementary, two new East and West classrooms, and extensive renovations. The 4.6 mill levy would pass with a 55 percent majority at the November election, with bound surveys distributed to homes and campaigns under way in the next 60 days.
