World Series may be unique in two respects in 1964
Commissioner Ford Frick notes two potential unique features for the 1964 World Series. First no travel day if the Series pairs two league teams, with start on Oct 7 in the NL park and three games in the AL park, possibly ending Oct 7 1964. Second a possible three team tie in the American League could trigger a round robin to an eventual two out of three playoff.
