State Aid Sought to Repave East State Street
Athens officials told council that the state highway department will consider East State Street repaving from Park Street to the Rowland farm next session. Plans call for a 34 foot wide brick surface on a concrete base with federal aid possible for non densely built sections. The city and abutting property owners would share costs, with state paying half.
