Nelsonville Considers One Mill Levy For City Budget

Nelsonville officials propose a one mill, three year special levy to cover operating expenses as current two mill bonds expire. City faces $13,620 in tax receipts next year with $10,867.85 in bond and interest payments, leaving about $2,753 for general operations. A $4,700 expected levy would fund the deficit, with possible half levy if bonds retire.
