City Averts Letting Of Foundry Area Improvement

Sept 8 The Nelsonville council hears engineer notes that no contract for the Foundry area improvement is needed due to adequate city right of way. Plans show four feet of width on the north side, curb alignment, and minor adjustments to meet specifications. Officials say removal of a sheet iron building near the street would not burden the municipality. A petition from 14 property owners seeks high street improvements at no cost to them and is referred to the street committee.
