Richfield farmer preserves Ohio history with a living museum
Jim Fry, 67, runs the Museum of Western Reserve Farms and Equipment on his Stone Garden Farm in Richfield. He moved 40 old buildings from across Ohio to create a working village including a one room schoolhouse, post office, smoke shop, buggy repair, and blacksmith shop. The museum opens whenever Fry is home and welcomes visitors, clubs, and even distant groups while his family maintains the farm and raises diverse crops, livestock, and crafts.
