Six badly hurt in Gallia County two car crash
Six persons were injured in a Route 7 collision south of Gallipolis. The worst was Donald W. Holley 18 admitted with head and face lacerations. Police blamed driver Robert A. Brickles whose car struck Ward’s, causing a wreck with multiple injuries. Several others were treated and released at Holzer Hospital.

Patrol Promises Strict Traffic Enforcement Over Labor Day
Gallia County drivers are warned of strict enforcement during the Labor Day weekend by Sgt. P D McCreedy of the Gallipolis State Highway Patrol. Auxiliary volunteers will assist at the patrol post to curb reckless driving and reduce the predicted fatalities. Emphasis is on seat belts, defensive driving, not overload vehicles, and obeying traffic laws.
