Neighboring districts lend Trimble a helping hand
Trimble Local and nearby Athens County districts may compete on the field yet four districts and private residents joined in to aid Trimble as it fundraises for new football facilities. The stadium, the old gray lady, suffers from decades of use and flood damage. Donations rose from zero in August to over 13 700 by September thanks to athletes fans and local business support. A large basket raffle at the gate raised 490 while Federal Hocking Athletic Boosters donated Trimble’s share of a split the pot. Theresa Standley and Michelle Chapman organized the raffle and filled eight baskets. Standley noted Trimble’s gesture toward Federal Hocking wrestling and said county lines fade when helping.
