Ohio University Band Plays at Stadium in Grand Pre-game Show
The Ohio University band, led by Bandmaster Curtis Janssen, stages elaborate pre game and half time shows at the stadium. Since 1923 the unit grew from 40 players to about 100 marching musicians plus majorettes, color guards and a singers trio. The production requires nightly practice, complex diagrams, and on occasion original arrangements written by Janssen. Major guest Frank Crumit will appear with the Homecoming show and the band will perform Round on the Ends and High in the Middle.
