Meigs County recognizes 4 H leaders at a Recognition Dinner held at the American Legion Hall. Whitney Ingraham presided, awards included service pins and 100 percent completion certificates for clubs such as Alfred Sewing and Columbia Make It. The program celebrated volunteers from Pine Grove, Victory Salad, WHALE, Sewing Belles, Reedsville Pioneers, and the Pine Grove 4 H Club with merit pins and club flags.

Laudermilk Funeral to be Held Tuesday in Columbus
Funeral services for Sallie Laudermilk 52 who died at University Hospital Columbus after a brief illness will be Tuesday at two o'clock in Ewing Chapel. The Rev Ralph Kuether will conduct the service. Survivors include children Alma Jefferson Virginia Radford Harry John Betty Laudermilk all of Columbus Ted of Triadelphia W VA and Clarence in U S Army in France. Also sister Mrs Lillie Sprouse and uncle James Snow of Pomeroy with grandchildren and other relatives.
