Athens Race for the Cure raises near 100 thousand dollars
About 1,300 participants at Ohio University joined the Athens Race for the Cure raising nearly $100,000 for breast cancer research and treatment through the Susan G. Komen Columbus affiliate. Funds support 18 southeastern Ohio counties, with 90 survivors earning medals and pink roses as teams and volunteers, including OU students, organized events and nursing students assisting survivors.
