East Elementary bond plan would add classrooms and arts complex
East Elementary would gain three classrooms a new art and music complex and a renovated heating system under a $3.77 million bond proposal on November 8. The plan adds space between connected buildings from 1911 and its newer wing, with play area largely preserved. Principal William Korner notes thermostats’ nonuniform heating while teacher Ruth Nostrant voices limited concern over play space loss.
