Beacon School details operation of county program
Beacon School operates three classes for mentally retarded children with 30 students aged 6 to 19. Classes meet in the old Court ney building leased from Elmer Jones. Students travel by three station wagons. The program includes home visiting, speech therapy, and weekly swimming, with state approval and funding through a mill levy and tuition from districts.
