Army Names Replacement For Medaris
Maj. Gen. August Schomburg is named to replace Maj. Gen. John B. Medaris as head of the Army Missile Command in Huntsville Alabama. Medaris retires January 31 after leading the rocket team that produced the United States first earth satellite and first solar satellite and the 1500 mile Jupiter missile.
