School film censorship aims for wholesome educational shows
Frederick W. Nichols assigns the Society for Visual Education to pre screen weekly diversion shows at District No. 76 Evanston schools. A strict standard filters comedies and dramas for family suitability and educational value, with one bona fide educational film per program. Parents may attend with children as a small admission fee covers costs. Nichols says proper selection can yield highly educational and entertaining programs supervised to prevent objectionable material.
