Old Dogs Learn New Tricks From Local Trainer
Mrs. Jo Anne L'Heureux spoke at the Rotary meeting at Ohio University Inn about training dogs at any age. The Athens Training Club, she heads, demonstrated with an eight year old hound and three other dogs trained since the club’s founding a year ago. Fees for ten weeks run about $20 with most funds aiding the humane society and 4-H clubs. The program emphasizes owner responsibility, teaching fundamental obedience rather than advanced tricks.
