Drive chairman urges more United Appeals pledges
Drive Chairman Frank M. Batdorff urged still unsold residents to contribute now as 35 percent of the goal remains. He reported only about 20 percent of territory has been covered in the house-to-house drive begun Monday, with second and third calls under way. Donations may be pledges with quarterly payments next year, and the office asks not to be contacted by canvassers by phone. Funds already reported exceed $22,000 from various sources.
