October term opens with Judge Wood presiding at common pleas
The October term of the common pleas court began Monday with Judge Wood on the bench. A grand jury panel was drawn including A Wells, George Bethel, Harvey Linscott, and others. Several jurors were excused for good cause. more were called to complete the panel. Cases disposed include continuances, settlements, dism issals, and mortgage actions. Judge Milner stood in for Sedge Wood in Portsmouth. Rose and Vanway and Charles Linscott were granted divorces on wilful absence and neglect grounds.
