Man Killed In Coalton Car Crash
GALLIPOLIS One man died and another seriously injured when their car left Route 75 in Coalton and struck a concrete culvert. Harry Wayne Simons, 27, of Columbus, died from an internal hemorrhage. Clarence W. Brown, 27, of Columbus, was unconscious at Holzer Hospital with a possible skull fracture. Brown’s gear shift reportedly pierced Simons, while Simons’ wife Lillian and son Jackie were noted in connection with the couple. Other local notices included fines for muffler and operator license violations and separate fatal and injury crashes in Newark, Bowling Green, London, and Van Wert areas.
