Third term issue clouds debate over Roosevelt and freedom
A Portland letter voices alarm at a Roosevelt third term and potential dictatorship. The author contrasts liberty with power, cites war needs, questions postwar leadership, and supports a people’s party candidate over the Democratic option, sharing personal history and a call for self-reliant work.
