Terence MacSwiney dies at dawn on the 74th day of his hunger strike in Cork. The event marks the end of his protest and catalyzes reactions as the Irish struggle gains new attention during the 1920 campaign.
J F Walker of the Ohio Wool Growers Association told the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs that women should push for better wool products. He warned of car loads of woolen rags from Germany used to make shoddy and noted Ohio holds over 5 million pounds of virgin wool with little market.
Five hundred sixty two attended First M. E. Sunday School yesterday. The group included 24 officers and teachers, 5 visitors, and 533 scholars. Demographics show 166 men 194 women 113 in the intermediate department and 89 in the primary department. Total collection 21 dollars and 1 cent.

Terence MacSwiney died at 5 40 am in Brixton after a 74 day hunger strike. Officials said he was fed after delirium and tremors. relatives were barred from visits during the final days. MacSwiney, 41, was Cork lord mayor and a Sinn Fein leader, with supporters warning British officials face “liberate murder” if he died.

In New York on October 25 Rezzeéri Voschi, a 30 year old Italian, was detained after being found roaming the streets in tin armor and armed with a sabre. He is questioned in connection with the murder of Annie Horowitz a 38 year old janitress. Her husband found her body after she had gone to collect rent. The crime involved multiple stab wounds and a severed throat. Voschi was later identified and denied knowledge of the murder.
Ben Beckler of Athens and Waterloo offers his vote for a house, pledging to vote as others choose in the November election in exchange for securing him a leasehold residence. He remains a Democrat, needing a home more than party loyalty.
Telegraph operators for the Postal company in Chicago walked off the job on October 25 amid a dispute over working conditions. John Sheeher, a supervisor, said the strike began after the entire workforce refused to work under the new terms.

Akron O Oct 25 The superintendent of schools says girls may not wear hose in Akron high schools stating they have no place in the educational system The remark adds that such attire may only be appropriate for the stage and should not be worn in class or school activities
Miss Bessie Crum of Nelsonville and Elza Adams a carpenter and farmer were quietly married by P W Helwig justice of peace on Saturday afternoon at Carpenter with no ceremony or fanfare.
Acting Chief of Police Knox described John Dunfee of Dayton as just plain drunk after he arrived in Athens Saturday night and pleaded to a charge. Federal building in Dayton had all space used for storing confiscated snow sled, authorities said.
Ohio campaign opens with Harding and Cox both active in Columbus and Cleveland. Harding tours Wednesday in Cleveland to back Davis while Cox returns to marshal support. The finished drive centers on constitutional government, tax relief, and domestic and foreign policy priorities.
Rev Joel Wooldridge of Denmark Russell county ended a 22 day fast during a revival at Hayes Chapel to compel his daughter Miss Della Wooldridge to profess religion. He preached from a cot in the church as he grew weak, while his daughter taught seven miles away.
