No discipline for Minneapolis cops in Jamar Clark case
Minneapolis police chief Janee Harteau announced that two officers involved in the November confrontation that led to Jamar Clark’s fatal shooting will face no discipline. The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension found the officers warranted in using deadly force as Clark, hand movements and a struggle over an officer’s gun preceded the shooting. A U.S. DOJ inquiry into protest handling is ongoing.

Yale to admit more students despite tough entry
Yale University will expand undergraduate enrollment by about 200 freshmen next year, lifting the total to roughly 6,200 amid a long planned growth. Despite the larger class, admissions officials say competition remains fierce with low acceptance rates and a pool that has grown from 22,500 to nearly 31,500 in nine years, driven by applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.
