Romanian Tattoo Convention Draws 100 Artists to Bucharest
More than 100 tattoo and piercing artists held a three day convention in Bucharest showcasing animal, fantasy and child designs. Stars included Paul Booth famed for bold full body work and Yall Quinones of Puerto Rico attended. Organizers noted tattoo culture has grown from biker era roots to mainstream events with thousands attending. A beard and mustache contest behind Ceausescu’s palace drew crowds and one attendee said he had not trimmed his mustache since 1979.
