U S casualties in Vietnam dip near three year lows

Beckett, born in Ireland and living in Paris, writes in French and is famed for Waiting for Godot and works like Endgame Molloy Malone Cutthroat translations.

Fifth Amendment Invoked by Four Enlisted Men in Hearings

At Senate hearings in Washington Sgt Maj William C Wooldridge and three others invoked the Fifth Amendment refusing to answer questions about alleged involvement in a scheme to loot servicemen recreation clubs. The four gave name and home address then remained silent. Earlier the panel questioned retired Maj Gen Carl C Turner about possible cover up for Wooldridge, with Turner denying any protection.
