Blast Victim Is Improving After Farm Mine Blast
Charles Simms, 56, is recovering at home after a powder blast damaged his face on October 15 at a house mine on the Clay Chapel Road. He walked home, was driven to Holzerstal, and wore dark glasses as eye healing continued. Simms had prepared two shots of powder but lit only one. the unexploded charge then exploded when he investigated.
