Lorain October 23. Mrs. Charles Edwards aunt of Betty Heywood testified about the shooting of her niece by Louis Cicco a Lorain dry agent as the Lorain County Grand Jury convened with the cases of two former Cleco officers. Prosecutor Don A. Baird declined to discuss possible grand jury action. Both city agents faced arraignment on charges of shooting to wound.
The Athens County Republican Central Committee completed county organization with the Trimble Township Negro Republican Club formed Monday night. Officers include Mrs Ethel Riley president and Martha Wright among vice presidents. an election meeting will precede the election with speakers to be announced.

The 4 County Farm Bureau executive board will meet Saturday at 3 in the county agent’s office to discuss financing a local Ohio Farm Federation branch. A Columbus federation representative will explain stock sales to county farmers and map county campaign plans. Also attending are Prof. E B Wallace of Ohio University and district Farm Bureau secretary Floyd Delashmutt.
Athens Red Cross closed its Florida West Indies Disaster Fund drive with 324.09 dollars raised toward a 750 dollar quota. Thelma Grubb led the drive as executive secretary. contributions included 5 dollars from M D Hughes and 1 dollar from Edna Black of the Women’s Missionary Society.
