Levy Aiding TB Victims To Be Voted On Nov 3
Athens County voters will decide on a special three mill current expense levy to fund TB care through five years. The measure aims to provide 20000 dollars annually, cover hospital care for active TB, employ a full time tuberculosis nurse, and lower long term costs by early detection. The levy costs about 30 cents per 1000 dollars of tax value, with a typical home paying about 1.50 dollars yearly for indigent TB care.
