Postpone Scout Work Meetings After Hotel Berry Fire

Indefinite postponement of local Girl Scout meetings due to injuries from the Hotel Berry fire. Irene Vanbibber aged 11 died Sunday evening at her parents home after a quinsy illness. She is survived by her parents Mr and Mrs Jessie Vanbibber and several brothers and sisters. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Man Dies Not Used, James Pierce Injured at Mine

James Pierce aged 28 a married man from Buchtel and employed at Mine No 36 of the Manhattan Coal Company suffered a badly crushed left foot when caught between a mine car and a motor. He was removed to his home in Nelsonville on October 22.

Naval Lieutenant and mechanic fly over Glouster during game

A plane carrying a naval lieutenant and a mechanic passed over Glouster on Saturday afternoon while a ball game was in progress at the American Legion grounds. The pilot appeared to be heading toward Columbus and kept a high speed, circling near Gate station as he tried to get bearings.

Mary Jane Hall Dies in Athens

Mary Jane Hall, 84, died at 4 AM at 60 Stimson Avenue Athens from complications after influenza. Widow of Leander Hall, she lived in Athens 20 years and was a member of First M ks Church. Survived by son W Loring Hall and daughter Linnie L Hall, burial at Bicknell Chapel Great Bend Meigs County. Funeral 1:15 PM Wednesday at home.
