Driving course enrollment at Athens High School expands

About 90 students signed up though only 30 can be accommodated to ensure each student gets at least one lesson per week. Students may join at 16 with 15 year olds receiving restricted permits. Bowen studied driving education at the General Motors Institute in August.

Colley 48 Dies After Illness at Mother's Home
Sterbert Francis Colley 48 died Tuesday at his mother Mrs. Osa Chadwick's home 80 Grosvenor Street where she had stayed during an illness. Surviving are his wife Wilma a sister Mrs. Louise Tower and his mother. He formerly worked at Ray-Glaw Stove Co in Athens and later ran a farm on Route 56 west of Athens.
