Republican Women Meet in Nelsonville
In Nelsonville last Tuesday the Woman's Republican Club met with Mayor Miles Howe, Anna Evans, Sheriff George Bateman, John Dowler, Ed Lasch, Earl Cooper and others speaking. Fred Styles warned of ongoing decline since 1992 and urged all to vote on November 7, backing state ticket candidates. Ethel Riley sang, and the crowd joined in “America” and “God Bless America.”

Committee Holds Annual Fall Field Day in Nelsonville
The C. I. Committee of the Synod of Ohio and 42 workers met Tuesday in Nelsonville at the First Presbyterian Church social rooms. Irene McDowell of Massillon led a lunch at the Doanville center, and reports were given by officers and committees. A conference at the Doraville Chapel planned year activities and a service pin for Miss Blanche Riley was approved for the November meeting in Minneapolis.
