The Point Pleasant Woman's Club reports steady gains in the blood donation drive. A bloodmobile will be at Trinity Methodist Church on Viand Street Wednesday October 28 from noon to 6 p.m. Volunteers praise blood banks, gamma globulin, and the aim to aid military service members and all in need.
The Rio Grande region reports visits and events including Rev and Mrs John Rand at the Ohio Baptist Convention in Zanesville. Dr Charles E Davis spoke at Rio Grande College chapel. Garden Club hosts at Mrs L D Warman with co hosts. Attendees heard Bishop Hazen Werner report on Korea in Columbus on Oct 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Amos Adams returned to Columbus after three weeks with Mrs. Ethel Skidmore. Mrs. Adams helped care for Mrs. Skidmore and her new grandson Cecil William Skidmore. Lloyd Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Lee, plans a New York tour to see Ohio State University play the University of Pennsylvania, then proceed to New York.
Mrs. Virgil Siders chairs health and safety planning for a blood mobile visit to Point Pleasant. L. V. Mueller named transportation chair to recruit county volunteers. Other attendees include Mrs. Monroe Chase and Mrs. D. N. Connors among a list of local club and bridge members.
Mr and Mrs Webster DeWitt of Bidwell visited Mrs Lizzie Caton and the Davis family including Char lene and Marvin Miller. Carolyn Miller of Columbus called on relatives here. Bob Farley went to Parkersburg to bring home his mother Ella Farley visiting Catherine and living with her son and daughter in law.
