Rate Increase Analyzed by Chesapeake and Potomac

In Point Pleasant a news release from W. W. Smith, manager of the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of West Virginia, states the recent rate increases will not cover the last annual wage hike of 684000 dollars for employees. Vice president J. R. B. Crigter says intrastate return on original cost would be about two percent even with the increases, and the slight daily rise would keep the company financially sound and supportive of West Virginia's growth.
