The State aid school association plans to request a $4 000 000 appropriation to fund state aided districts. Officials announce the current aid falls short of county demands, with McVay commenting on the gap.
Southeast Ohio County Superintendents and Attendance Officers urge a $4,000,000 appropriation to fund eight months of school operation. They note past sums of $2.5 and $2 million were insufficient and payrolls in Athens County remain unpaid. The association endorsed the higher estimate and discussed candidates' positions. Ten counties were represented at the meeting led by H R McVay with officials from Athens Gallia Jackson Noble Meigs Scioto and others.
Mrs Frances Stevens Hall will testify in her own defense when the Hall Mills trial opens November 3 in Somerville New Jersey. She says the jury will rebuke Special Prosecutor Alexander Simpson and vows to reveal facts before a jury. Simpson declines comment until trial start.
