Miss Agnes Kilpatrick daughter of Mr and Mrs John Kilpatrick 72 East Mulberry St holds the title of youngest girl at Athens City High School with Jos ephine McVay close behind Agnes age 18 4 17 and Josephine 18 7 1. The youngest boy is Howard Wilson born August 16 1916 with Arman Morehead May 18 1916 next. All plan to enter college in about three years as sophomores. Agnes aims to be a teacher and work her way through, Arman contemplates engineering or journalism, and Harold plans a commercial course to become a business man.
Columbus reports Governor Cooper faced sharp denouncement from Henry G. Brunner Mansfield Democratic State Executive Committee chair for wilful misrepresentation in campaign addresses Brunner accused Cooper of smokescreen tactics and unfounded assertions about injunction suits and said most suits were initiated by Republicans with Republican judges and lawyers involved
After the October grand jury, Judge J W Darby appointed H H Rowland as counsel for Mrs Sylvia Sweeney who was indicted for embezzlement from the Cirouster Board of Public Affairs and pleaded not guilty to nine counts. Three others pled guilty including Laichen Stevens who was bonded for child support, John Hunter and Albert Collings for burglary with various sentences and bonds set for the remainder.

Dayton police say Frank Puckett age 25, known as the Ice Box Bandit, confessed to 25 grocery store robberies since his parole from Ohio Penitentiary a year ago.
Mal Daugherty brother of former Attorney General Harry Daugherty and head of the defunct Ohio State Bank at Washington Court House Ohio has been indicted on 57 counts for embezzlement misapplication of funds and falsification of the bank condition. He is charged.
