Borbon Seeks Jury Trial In Cincinnati Assault Case
Cincinnati Reds ace reliever Pedro Borbon asked for a jury trial as charges against him were reduced from felony assault to simple improper conduct following an October 3 downtown discotheque incident. Prosecutor Ann Tracey said the chair-weapon felony charge was inappropriate and Borbon remains free without bond. Attorney Eugene Utz indicated a February trial or possibly November, with Borbon away for spring training in the Dominican Republic.
