Dr. John Nathan Howard age 77 Amesville physician died at Sheltering Arms Hospital from head injuries and shock after a car driven by him plunged off a 20 foot bank at the foot of Sharpsburg Hill near US Route 50 Alternate and State Route 377. Mrs Fannie Shields age 55 of Nelsonville died instantly from a broken neck and Mrs. Howard age 71 was seriously injured. The trio were on an afternoon ride when the car toppled landing on its top then upright. Funeral arrangements and survivor details follow in local notices.
