A female aviator arrives in Maine during an ambitious transatlantic journey. The flyer plans to continue aboard a flying boat to Copenhagen, Denmark, as part of an extensive, milestone voyage across the ocean.
Miss Ivrances Grayson flew The Dawn from Roosevelt Field to Old Orchard Maine to begin a planned 3500 mile flight toward Copenhagen, with mechanic Boris Lebinski and navigator Bruce Goldsborough inspecting the aircraft. The crew discussed the trans Atlantic voyage at the Brunswick hotel after landing Grand Beach.
In Mays Landing New Jersey on October 11 a widow Mrs Margaret Lilliendahl angered by being jailed with neighbor Willis Beach on a joint murder indictment pleaded not guilty and accused authorities of pursuing easier targets while insisting she witnessed the killing of her husband Dr William Lilliendahl.
In Cincinnati, a special jury acquitted George "Fat" Wrassman, a whisky runner, of a first degree murder charge linked to liquor ramification. The verdict followed nearly two hours of deliberation, marking a second such acquittal in three months by the criminal court.

Swyers spoke. Resolutions urged national officials to provide relief money. Oral Daugherty and Robert Kell traveled to Indianapolis to discuss the matter with national officials.
One hundred seventy five women from Chillicothe Logan Portsmouth Ironton Nelsonville Gallipolis and Athens attend the Tenth District convention of the Women’s Relief corps in the Red Men’s hall Athens. Mrs Mary A Fryburger calls meeting to order at 9 40 this morning. Clara M Jones district president introduces and appoints officers Department President Anna M Seppleman and May Rogers House. Delegates dine then Columbus Golden Relief corps No 32 exemplar ritualistic work. Election of officers to be held this afternoon and next year’s meeting place decided later. Thirty seven delegates registered from Chillicothe and thirty six from Logan.
Fresh uprisings in the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Tehuantepec were reported to Gomez headquarters in San Antonio. Gerzan Ugarte, his U.S. representative, was advised of increased revolutionary activity south of Laredo.
Paris dispatch reports Charles A Levine, famed Trans-Atlantic flyer, leaped from a taxicab at St Lazare station and sprinted to catch the last car of the Leviathan boat train bound for Cherbourg as it pulled away from the terminal.
Theo Mora of Chester township brought the carcass of a western coyote shot on his farm near Five Points. The marauder had been killing poultry for weeks, with twenty five fowls found in a cornfield. An oil well worker had shipped the coyote from the West as a puppy before it evaded capture until Sunday. John Sauvage will mount the pelt for his collection.
A criminal indictment covering the Teapot Dome case names Sinclair and Fall as defendants in a conspiracy charge. The indictment outlines alleged collusion related to the Teapot Dome affair and assigns them to stand trial.

A lone bandit robbed a Toledo Security Savings Bank branch taking between 5000 and 10000 dollars. He bound and gagged five employees as they entered separately and threatened each with death before escaping with the cash.
Mrs. Margaret Connell foreman signs a $3,000,000 verdict for Mrs. Alice Gray Kales against the government in federal court Detroit. Taxes on the sale of Kales stock in Ford Motor Company cited. Outcome could end government bid to collect $30,000,000 taxes on minority Ford stock sales.
In Athens County Common Pleas court Judge L. G. Worstell suspended the sentence after Lyle H. Cornell pled guilty to burglary and larceny en ordem. Clyde O. Gibson was named probation officer to whom Cornell must report. Virgil Wolfe also pled guilty and was sentenced to the Mansfield reformatory for two October grand jury indictments.
The tri motor Fokker monoplane Southern Cross arrived in Tacoma from Seattle after fueling, then departed shortly before 9 o clock for San Francisco. The leg marks the first segment of a projected flight toward Honolulu and Australia.
