Governor Moore prepared to transfer Bruno Hauptmann to New Jersey for trial on extortion and ransom charges connected to the Lindbergh case. Officials indicated a fast extradition and anticipated habeas petitions as the case heads toward New Jersey custody.
OY Oct 10 22 year old Staff Sergeant Searls of Langsville died in a car crash on the Dexter Langsville road at seven Tuesday night. He was the sole occupant and was thrown from the vehicle as it left the road into a field. Sheriff A O reported the fatal accident. The car incurred limited damage. Searls was a son of Mr and Mrs SearLis of Langsville. Funeral arrangements remained incomplete.
Justice disclosed to Richard Tallman Galatas and his wife Elizabeth that they were principals in a machine gun plot to free a federal prisoner. The plot involved Stan Galatas and his wife, aimed at piracy to deliver Nash, and they would be arraigned in Kansas City after events in New Orleans.
Oct. 10 UPrittmer, 52, and his son remained in a hospital as doctors treated them for gas fumes at the bottom of a well. Daniel, hearing cries, pulled both from the shaft after Ray was overcome while cleaning. The father died in the attempt, while the son and others were revived.

Gallia County news reports Owen Randolph 25 was shot and killed at the Randolph farm on Raccoon Creek near Gallipolis after a quarrel with Frank O'Dell who says he acted in self defense as Randolph and his wife allegedly threatened him. O'Dell was arrested and detained in Gallia County Jail.

Battery C 04th Field Artillery, one of the local National Guard units, will be motorized within the next month at the weekly drill. Ohio's 1933 industrial payroll fell by about 20 million dollars though gains were reported in six highly industrial counties. The state industrial commission released a tabulation showing last year's total payroll at 926,575, as compared with 046,162,76h 1902.
