Verbal gas rate offer discussed by Nelsonville council
Nelsonville council heard a verbal proposal from Frank Phillips of the Ohio Fuel Gas Co offering 1 for the first 500 cubic feet and 60 cents per thousand thereafter. The council set a committee report and agreed to solicit a rate basis for negotiation, amid potential Public Utilities Commission action if delayed. A separate alley complaint from Ven Davis prompted debate on enforcement of dumping bans and a street relief plan was requested for a district.
