Education Can Be Fascinating By Judy Ludwick
Kim Love, an 11 year old sixth grader from Athens, brought a real heart to East Elementary to demonstrate human heart anatomy to classmates. The activity followed a groundhog hunt in which his brother Mark helped provide a specimen. The class compared the groundhog heart to the human heart and created reports and reading on the circulatory system. The project sparked further student donations of chicken and turkey hearts and showed teachers and students learning together. Ethel D. Carson vs. Albert C. Carson, wilful absence.
