Guerrillas Still Fought In Morocco

In Rabat French authorities reported nationalist guerrillas along the Spanish Moroccan border. French forces estimated at 2500 to 4000, with Moroccan auxiliaries, armored cars, jet fighters, and 105 mm cannons. Moroccan tribesmen numbered 3000 to 4000 opposing them near the 25 mile front toward Aknoul. Earlier rebel surrenders in the east were noted, but frontier progress remained stagnant.

Attic Trunk Fatal to Lads

In New Haven Connecticut two boys Dominick Primicerio aged 9 and Daniel Benvenenga aged 8 died of suffocation after being locked in an attic trunk. Their 10-year-old brother James admitted locking them in and later opened the trunk finding them warm. Coroner Corrigan said James will be handled by juvenile court.

Youth to be tried for murder in parents’ stabbing death
