Ohio unemployment claims fall nearly 50000 since October

Ohio’s unemployment claims declined sharply as layoffs in the steel sector continued. Bureau of Employment Services reported a drop of about 50,000 claims since last October, with jobless Ohioans filing under all programs for the week ending October 1 totaling 107,043 initial claims 13,714.
