The Plains Lions Club hosts the 33rd Plains Indian Mound Festival at Community Park on Connett Road. The program features Junior Miss and Queen contests, archery, native flute workshop, cruise-in, parade, multiple shows and family activities from Friday morning through Sunday, including music, craft vendors, food, inflatables, and various contests.
Ohio University faculty and staff mobilized to donate hundreds of pounds in under 24 hours for an OU airplane to carry aid to Puerto Rico.
